I tried all day to Crochet an Owl Hat for my website but with the phone ringing off the hook, laundry, cleaning the floors, dusting and then... her comes  Charlie the neighbors dog, he is the Houdini version of the canine family my poor  neighbors have tried everything to keep him in his yard but he manages to get over here as soon as his owners leave and boy did Chelsea my dog go crazy! She does not like visitors in her yard. Charlie was a sweet dog when he was a puppy and now that he has grown to be a 100 lb dog we can not let him play with Chelsea he is to rough for our old girl of 13 years that is almost half his size.
 Charlie never came over when I was gone to Germany but as soon as I came back he returned! He still hasn't grown out of being an attention hog and  loves when I come out to say hello and give him treats now he has a neighborhood friend he hangs out with It took me a good 1/2 hour to calm her down and had to make her lay down in her bed.
Watch for my next picture, I will post a picture of my new owl hat.

In all the rush today to get things done I ran out front to jump in the car and there I saw a bright red bird and a blue jay in our trees! What a beautiful reminder to not only stop to smell the roses as they say but to witness the beauty of nature.
